Solitude

Canon EOS 5D, 70 mm, 1/800 sec, f 2.8, 100

On the first day of our vacation in Stone Harbor, Veronica's friend Al joined us for the evening. He took a trip down to the point with us to watch the sunset. While Mrs. Faust and I wandered around with our cameras, Al just picked a spot, sat down, and enjoyed the view. There was something very peaceful about the way he just seemed to take it all in - it was an inner peace that I very rarely experience, but felt quite compelled to capture.

  • Laurie » He looks like he's so peaceful here. Totally lost in the beauty around him and his own thoughts. Truly solitude at it's best.

    Lovely photo!
  • Alice » Wonderful shot, Justin. I'm heading to the beach in about a month and I plan to spend a lot of time sitting and doing nothing other than enjoying the surroundings. And taking lots of photos of course. :-)
  • Matthias » very nice shot! lovely colors and nice details in the sand. It's a wonderful place ;-)
  • Hadassah » I love your beach shots, Justin. They have inspired me to pay attention when I shoot the beach. To see more than just the view.
